Carved by my son Patrick, the small apprentice. Here is a eleven inch blackened poplar cooking spoon for right handed cooking. That beautiful black color comes from a dunking in strong tea and than an iron and vinegar solution producing a permanent stain. After that a splash of milk paints was applied. Carved with nothing but a hatchet and knives from found wood. No electricity, no machines, just honest hand work at Klipnocky Woods. Seasoned for you with food safe coconut oil, mineral oil and beeswax. This is a very useful design! Chefs prefer wooden spoons and they will not harm or scratch your expensive pots and pans or burn your little fingers. If you need a gift for any occasion a wooden spoon will last for years and you will be remembered each time it is used. Thank you for visiting.
