Carved by my son Peter, the large apprentice, this silver maple fork is seven inches long. First the wood is foraged and then carved by hand, no power tools, no electricity and no clamping devices. We use hand saws, hatchets and sharp knives to create these utensils. Stained with an iron and vinegar solution. Seasoned with a food safe mix of coconut oil, mineral oil and beeswax.
