Sorry, this item has sold.

My pick! Twenty four hand carved hardwood beads in various American hardwoods. The holes are 3/16”, machine drilled and all other work is done with a hatchet, handsaw and knives. The beads are roughly 5/8” to 3/4” in width and length. Use them for jewelry projects or lanyards for your noggin, wooden cup, water bottle or other camping gear. Before the industrial age many, if not most drinking vessels were of wood for the common people. Often carved from beautiful burls. The cups carved by Native Americans and French Voyageurs were called noggins or canoe cups. They used toggled cords to secure their noggins to a belt, sash or pack. I carved these beads as companions for noggins and wooden cups, water bottles or whatever else.
